The First Chapter for Home Planet Tech
Over the last few months, I’ve been busy building something I’ve wanted to do for a long time — starting my own local tech support business, Home Planet Tech.
The idea behind the business is simple: technology should make life easier, not more stressful. For years I’ve been the person friends and family call when something isn’t working, or when a new gadget needs setting up. I realised how much I enjoy helping people understand their tech and feel more confident using it, so I decided to turn that into a business that offers friendly, in-home support.
Since launching a few months ago, I’ve been helping people with all sorts of things — from speeding up slow computers and organising files, to setting up smart lighting systems, printers, and new tablets. Every home is different and every problem is a little puzzle to solve, which is part of what makes the job so enjoyable.
I’ve also been working behind the scenes to get the business properly established. That’s meant building the website, setting up social media, creating advertising, and getting the word out locally so people know there’s someone nearby who can help when tech gets confusing or frustrating.
Next week I’ll be taking a short break and travelling to South Korea — something I’ve been looking forward to for quite a while. When I’m back, I’m excited to keep growing the business and helping even more people get the most out of the technology they already own.
One of the things I’d like to start doing more regularly is sharing helpful tips and updates here on the blog.
I’ll write about common tech problems I come across, simple ways to make your devices work better, and interesting developments in the world of technology that might be useful or fun to try.
If you ever need help with tech at home — whether it’s a slow computer, a new gadget that needs setting up, or just learning how to use something properly — feel free to get in touch. That’s exactly what Home Planet Tech is here for.
